How long does a chocolate Lab live?

Short answer

In a VetCompass study of 33,320 UK Labradors, chocolate Labs had a median lifespan of 10.7 years, versus 12.1 years for black and yellow Labs. Ear and skin problems were also more common in chocolates, likely tied to breeding practices rather than the color gene itself.
