Sourcing

  • Health claims cite peer-reviewed research or veterinary bodies (ACVS, AVSAB, WSAVA, AAHA, OFA, Merck Veterinary Manual).
  • Cost figures are labeled as published estimates and attributed to their source. They aren’t quotes.
  • Every article lists its sources at the bottom.

Product selection

We choose products by published criteria (for food: WSAVA guidelines and AAFCO statements; for gear: Lab-specific needs such as size, durability and water use). We state facts as the manufacturer describes them, and we say so. We do not invent test results, ratings or prices.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help with research, drafting and site building. A human editor reviews every page, checks claims against the cited sources and is accountable for what’s published.

Medical review

Health content isn’t yet reviewed by a veterinarian. We say so on each health page. We plan to add veterinary review.

Updates and corrections

We review guides at least once a year and when important new research appears. Found an error? Email us and we’ll fix it and note the change.
